#GRAZIESERGIO

Winner of the Illustration Contest for Sergio Rossi.

The #graziesergio contest, launched by the Italian luxury brand Sergio Rossi under the leadership of CEO Riccardo Sciutto, was an initiative created to pay tribute to the brand’s founder and designer Sergio Rossi, who passed away in 2020.

The project invited artists to create fashion illustrations reflecting the identity of the renowned footwear maison. Selected works were chosen by a jury and published on the brand’s official platforms, including its website and Instagram account.

For this contest, I developed 2 illustrations inspired by the brand’s philosophy, incorporating iconic graphic elements and symbolic references. My creative process also drew from archival photography and from original shoe designs by the maison, ensuring a strong visual connection with the brand’s aesthetic heritage.

Each symbolic element was carefully chosen to represent the core values of the project:

  • The butterfly symbolizes purity

  • The lips represent sensuality

  • The legs embody femininity

  • The calla lily, finally, evokes elegance

Through these illustrations, I aimed to reinterpret the visual language of Sergio Rossi in a contemporary and poetic way, translating the brand’s identity into a refined and emotionally resonant artistic narrative.
