CONCEPT

Kaleido is a collection inspired by the 1980s Skinhead subculture, punk music, ripped jeans, and rebellious youth. Set in a melancholic Dublin marked by drugs, clubs, and music, it draws from the intensity of the era and figures like Sinéad O’Connor.
The collection explores a bridge between 1980s Dublin and contemporary creativity, taking cues from Doug Foster’s contemporary art installations that recreate hallucinatory imagery.

MOODBOARD

DOUG FOSTER'S

Doug Foster’s work is described as hypnotic. Drawing on years of research into the human visual system and a background as a cameraman, he creates images that affect viewers on a visceral level. Repeated spatial patterns and subtle temporal rhythms stimulate the brain, while what first appears abstract is actually complexly filmed elements of nature. For the Kaleidoscope installation at Bar Neon, guests encounter suspended cityscapes and a central oculus showcasing the artwork Kaleidoscope Sky.
